The 22nd Malaysia Games SUKMA XXII SELANGOR 2026

The 2026 Malaysia Games, officially known as SUKMA XXII, marks a historic return to Selangor, hosting the nation's premier multi-sport youth event for the first time in nearly 30 years. Scheduled to run from August 15 to 24, 2026, the games will feature over 10,000 athletes and officials from 15 contingents, including an invited delegation from Brunei Darussalam. In a bid to set a highly inclusive benchmark, this edition introduces exciting modern sports such as e-sports, chess, cricket, and kabaddi, alongside mandatory sporting events. Furthermore, the games are introducing transformative policies to address gender parity, mandating at least 20% female representation in technical and support roles, as well as opening up more mixed-gender categories to support rising female athletic talent across Malaysia.
